It is commonly known as PERC and has a strong and sweet odour. It is colourless and non flammable chemical solvent.
It is a more effective as compared to PERC and is environmental friendly.
Liquid silicone, also known as decamethylcyclopentasiloxane or D5, is very gentle on clothes and is considerably more environment-friendly than other chemicals. Using this chemical doesn’t cause any colour loss, but it is double the cost compared to all the other chemicals. Therefore, it is not a common type of chemical used by dry cleaning houses.
Liquid Carbon Dioxide
According to people working in the dry cleaning industry, this chemical has a very low cleaning ability. Along with this, expensive machinery is needed for cleaning clothes using liquid carbon dioxide. Hence, it is not a common type of chemical used by dry cleaners.
